Hidden Treasures

Dealing with loss
with Bill Taylor

It’s The Exchange this Friday as we continue with our series, Hidden Treasures. Bill Taylor will be sharing on the topic, Dealing with Loss.

The loss of business and the resulting financial difficulty can be incredibly difficult. But what if you’ve also lost a child? How does that feel? How do you handle it? And what do you do about the people who work for you who will also lose their jobs?

This is what Bill will be sharing on this coming Friday. Bill has had an extensive career that began with Nestlé and includes Shell and Wilkinson Lion Sales. In 1984 he started his own company called Network Field Marketing (NFM), a strategic marketing company that represents many international and local fast moving consumer goods (FMCG).

Bill has also been involved in mission work and social justice issues. He has been on the Board of Zambia Project which has launched over 50 micro-businesses in its local communities, established water wells, run medical outreaches and created an art programme where ladies with HIV can sell their crafts globally. He is also an elder at Cornerstone Church.

Shattered Hopes and Dreams
with Andrew Mildenhall

This Friday (10 May) is The Exchange as we continue with our series, Hidden Treasures. Andrew Mildenhall will be sharing on the topic, Shattered Hopes and Plans.

“…our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers.” – M. Scott Peck.

Andrew has been an SAA pilot for 17 years with 11 000 hours (and counting) of flying and 1 200 hours of flight instruction. Currently he flies on all SAA routes in South Africa and Africa. He’s been an Exco member of SAAPA (South African Airline Pilots Association) and heads up the Operations portifolio which oversees the working conditions of 800 pilots. He’s also been on the salary negotiating team.

Andrew believes that his job truly makes a difference. And that he has the best office window in the world.

Pamela Zucchi’s Celebration Service – 23 May

Pamela Zucchi’s Celebration Service

I’m overwhelmed by all the wonderful messages of love and support concerning the loss of my lovely mom, Pamela Zucchi! Thank you so much.

Goodbye to a brave soul, our beautiful mom who remained strong and dignified to the end. Gone to be with our Heavenly Father May 20th, 12:30am (same day as my dad’s birthday would have been). We know she is already flying with the angels and will fulfil her desire to join in the heavenly choirs. So glad the fight is over for her but so shocked at how fast this all happened.

‘Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?’ (1 Corinthians 15:55 NIV UK)

We will be having her Celebration Service (she did not want a mournful memorial!) at Cornerstone Church Bedfordview at 2pm this Thursday, 23rd May.
