When you combine Acts 10:38” how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.”  With Matthew 5:13-16 being SALT and LIGHT you get a glimpse of what Jesus wants His church to be DOING. As Jesus spoke to the churches in Revelation we have felt Him speaking to us saying that we need to be more on the offensive and become a greater tool to be used to see Johannesburg changed. We feel this means ACTION. There is prayer involved, but there must also be something done.
 

This is Love Jo’burg, not talking about, singing about, thinking about, reading about making a change, but actually doing it. We have sent teams into many different parts of town doing many different things, from meeting one on one to evangelizing with music and small drama’s. Being a heart more than a duty we have seen people praying for people in shopping queues and work places, with spontaneous following of the Holy Spirit bearing fruit all around our city. There has been the working of God with us too, with many testimonies of miraculous salvations and also healings and miracles taking place.

We formally do this on our Bible School evenings (Wednesday nights), sending teams to all matter of areas, following where the Spirit is leading.

As we have responded to God He has opened doors for us. There are now a number of home groups happening in children’s homes and regular meetings in fire stations and continually new believers and people coming into the family.
 

Love Jo’burg is thus something we do, but also a statement of something we are, we are a people mobile and willing to take out this gospel of peace which has saved us!
