We are a family of ordinary people learning to live extraordinary lives because we have been deeply affected by the love of God. How are we to live the life that God has called us to, and what does Scripture say about our interaction together? What Jesus Christ has called us to can ony be lived out in the context of meaningful relationships with a people who care, serve, learn, pray and 'grow' together. A time of personal a spiritual growth and social interaction and fun. An opportunity to give and receive in a 'family' setting. Christianity without shoes on is not worth very much and the small groups are an opportunity to live the life God called us to - in fellowship with one another, reaching out and being involved in extending the Kingdom of God.

We believe the small groups are an essential, and integral part of the life of the church. It is our hearts that everyone be connected to one of these small groups scattered throughout the eastern part of our city.

The purpose of these groups is to do life together. As churches grow bigger, people begin to feel distant and isolated, whilst in a small group they are secure, known by name and cared for. It is here that people have a greater opportunity to use their unique character and gifting.

As Christian believers we are called to the two Greats in the Bible:
  • The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36-40) where we are to love God and to love one another.
  • The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) where we are called to disciple others and to 'live out' our faith.
Both the Great Commandment and the Great Commission speak of relationship, fellowship and service. No better definition can be given to 'small groups' than this. Neither of these calls by God can really be achieved outside the context of relationships.

We are waiting for you to 'join the family'.
